Presentation at EASSSR’s inaugural conference

The inaugural conference of the East Asian Society for the Scientific Study of Religion (EASSSR) was held at Singapore Management University on 3-5 July 2017. The theme of the conference is Religiosity, Secularity, and Pluralism in the Global East. I delivered a speech on “Sacred Revolution and Secular Religion: Converting Huaqiao Housing Property into Patriotic Education Base in Contemporary China.” I thank Professor Fenggang Yang and Purdue University’s Center on Religion and Chinese Society for the generous financial support.

It’s lovely to meet Chris, Jie and Zhen, my dear friends and former colleagues of Max Planck Institute for the Study of Religious and Ethnic Diversity.
